Well everyone is matching up their sheds, might as well show mine too. We hit our spot again with a little help and our buddy Travis Hansen (Ham), found the other side to the non-typical that I found 3 weeks ago. 4 freakin miles away too. Handed it over to me, no questions asked. Hell of a guy, also served 3 trips to Iraq as a marine. Thanks for the shed Ham. Here it is as it lay.

Also brought home about 16 or 17 sheds from the trip w/ a nice little set and 3 massive 3 points.

Awsome shed hunting trip, had a ball thanks Rob (buff guy) and Ham.

Nice finds! That's quite a an accomplishment to match up a set that far apart. Sounds like you guys put in the time and effort and you were rewarded for it. Good job and a big thanks to your friend for serving our country!

Its crazy how far they can pack those horns!!! And you can go insane busting it and not finding the other side but it sure makes it worth it when you do find it congrats on a awsome buck. that 4 point set has potential keep up the good work!!!

YOU AINT GOING TO KILL A BIG BUCK UNLESS THERE IS A BIG BUCK WHERE YOUR HUNTING!!!

Don't take this the wrong way, but something is screaming ZION NATIONAL PARK to me. Maybe it's the red sandstone cliffs in the background. I know there are a whole bunch of places that look just like that in southern Utah and Northern Arizona though. You guys have really got a great area there.

I wish I could find some.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-16-07 AT 09:29PM (MST)[p]Trust me dude, we are not shed hunting in a national park, and yes it is a great area. No boot tracks, I've seen maybe 2 people out there and they were not sheddin. No morons on 4 wheelers (I'm not saying 4-wheelers are bad, I have one too) and a ton of deer. I will say we have done our homework on this area. And do you really think a U.S. Marine would shed hunt in a national park?

No, no, no, you misunderstood me. I'm thinking around the Zion area. I've done a little bit of shed hunting around Zion and I've actually found a few too. It's not illegal to shed hunt in a National Park, you just can't take the antlers home with you. You have to leave them in the park. You can still get some great ATL pictures though. I like to set GPS points so I can check up on them to see how they age over the years. It also shows me how many sheds are actually being picked up and moved. You would be amazed how many of them disappear within a year.

By the way, I salute you, and all your fellow Marines for your service to our country. You are one of my many hero's, and I would like to shake your hand.

Its cool man, I know what your saying. These sheds definetly age pretty fast. That non-typ. set is only a year old and it has some pretty deep cracks already. Alot of these bucks have very white antlers before they shed too, its crazy.
