My daughter in law smoked this awesome 7x7 with a 6.5 PRC at 400 yards 143gr ELDX.
Expo tag Manti late.

She missed him the previous day and we were fortunate enough to relocate him and finish the job.

Found out tonight our bull was stuck by an archer on the early hunt.

You can see the severe damage and infection that wound caused in our harvest picture.
It literally stunk and oozed puss infection and all the hair around the wound was gone.
I doubt this bull would have survived a harsh winter.

No, nothing looked obvious until we put our hands on him.
He was skin and bones.....extremely bony and incredible amount of smelly infection.

6.5 PRCs can't kill elk silly..... only 300 ultras and 300 PRCs do that. Awesome bull!

It smelled repulsive, but once I removed the hide, it looked perfectly ok underneath other than extremely lean.
The damage appeared to only be on the surface.

We were hunting near Mount Pleasant on some agricultural land, we had one group of bulls we were hunting.
