Guys robs a joint, sentenced to 13 years then waits..even asks...when to report. The call never came. Now he is free after judge ruling. Seems an okay deal to me.
Anyway, got me to thinking about a car I bought back in the 70s. I arranged the loan with a banker friend of my brother's in Las Cruces. Went to the dealership in Fresno and got a car.
Next day I called the banker and asked when I would get a payment book. He said it would come after the dealership sent a draft request, most likely within a couple of weeks.
Next month I make the same call. Same answer.
Next month I make the same call. Same answer.
Next month I go to the dealer; they said it would happen in a couple of weeks.
Next month I call the banker. Same answer.
I had the car for about 18 months and finally sold it for more than I paid for it.
