Who else is getting itchy and wanting to know what or if they drew?

My itchy might be the result of a poor decision, but man I would like to know already!

Yes scheduled for 21st so come on wyo show us some love and release results tomorrow at 10 am instead of killing us another week!!! Please lol

>do points matter?

Nope, as PPs aren't used in the random draws and everyone goes into them on an equal basis and why they're called random.

75% to PP Draws and 25% to the Random Draw. That 75% is further broken down to 60% going to the Regular PP Draw and 40% to the higher priced Special Draw. That can make it very confusing to people that aren't familiar with how Wyoming does it. Many people don't realize that everyone goes into the PP Draw first even if they don't have any PPs. Therefore, if there are more tags in that Draw than people applying all will get a tag there before it even goes to the Random Draw. After that drawing is completed and there are more applicants than tags those who didn't draw a tag on their first choice then all go into the Random Draw where everyone has an equal chance of drawing the tags allotted in that Draw. What many don't realize is that even though the Random Draw doesn't use PPs, if you draw a tag in that one you still lose all your PPs and go back to zero the following year. One guy a few years ago came on and said he had put in for a difficult unit that he knew he couldn't draw with his amount of PPs and put a second choice down for a unit he knew that had leftover tags. It turned out that in the Random Draw he drew the only available tag for that good unit and lost all of his PPs. That wouldn't have been so bad, but the units he applied for had different hunt dates and he had already been approved for vacation time by his company for his second choice. They wouldn't let him change his vacation time, so he was not only out all the PP money and no PPs, but also the tag money, and didn't even get to hunt. That is the harsh reality of what can happen if you don't cover all the bases or know how a draw works.

I wonder if this year will be like Utah's back door? Will we see refunds to credit cards for preference points or tag price if successful or unsuccessful before the results are posted?

Sorry...bored....impatient

I'm gonna say no we won't see refunds early, just baseing it off my own sheep mnt goat refund. And I'm a res so points won't change for me ha!

And he took a tag away from someone who could have used it.

I should be Hunting Wyoming this year it's been 5 years since I have been there really looking forward to it.

My deer points went to 0.
I had max points (10) and applied for G with another guy with zero points in the special draw.
I don't remember in WY if points went off the board during the draw and then back on after the draw was completed.

I just check my wife and me and our points are gone for deer but still left our antelope points?

Me and my wife's deer points went up one point and our antelope points went to zero. Just maybe...

Just tried to look at my Preference points; site says being loaded for the draw results. Drats! Guess I have to wait another 19 hours!

I've never seen the G&F change a person's PPs until late in the Fall after the PP application period is over, so I have no idea what is going on with what all you guys are saying. I know the site is now down for loading just as was mentioned by a couple others.

according to the PP results that were posted on another forum it appears 4 NR's drew unit 67 antelope tags in the special draw with <7 points. Looks like I'll be going on my first antelope hunt with my dad and two brothers this year. Disappointed we struck out on some elk tags this year that we had better than 40% draw odds on in NM and AZ but I'm looking forward to chasing speed goats for the first time. good luck to everyone else waiting to see if they drew!

5pts special draw.

Yea Hah!! Got my 1st choice again for antelope, was feeling a little iffy this year since it showed the odds of drawing with no points at around 50%.

So I'm a happy camper:)

Good luck to all on your draws!!

It shows unsuccessful for me...last years draw odds for the special tag in region h were 100% with 1 point and I had 1 pt and did special...is there a chance something could've gone wrong with their a system? Or could draw odds really have plummeted by that much??? This sucks if that really is the case. I was really looking forward to hunting Wyoming again this year...

1 pp in the special draws shows 58% chance of drawing region H for 2016.

where are you seeing the 2016 draw odds? When I click on the link it doesn't have the odds for deer or antelope on there.

There is a trick to getting the 2016 tables. Just go to the 2015 table that is available and open it. Then in the web address simply change the 2015 to 2016 and it will go to the 2016 table.

Thanks for the tip...this sucks I was really hoping to draw that tag!

I love lope hunting. Still the one hunt IMO that you can take the kids on that gets them pumped about hunting.

Well, very surprised that my son and I drew unit 61 antelope with only 7 points combined. Was really shooting on the 2nd choice low end unit since he is a senior at UW and is has a pretty full schedule along with his ROTC duties. Anyhow, its a long season so will give it a good effort. Still, not sure how we drew, I saw where there were two tags for <10 points, which I guess we drew. After striking out in NM, AZ and MT, happy to be getting out to Wyoming this Fall. My son has enjoyed his time at UW and being a Cowboy! Good luck to the rest of you!
