finnally after 30 some odd years I gotta see them, of course only two memebers were the origanal band memebers but it was still agreat show...

and the tickets were FREE at that!

I'm guessing it was 77 or 78 at the old Salt Palace in SLC.
20 rows back on the floor with isle seats.
What a show!

I worked security at a casino 7 years ago between semesters of college. Skynard came to play and I got personal security detail. Got to drive them around, hang out backstage, etc. Very nice guys.

I saw them in 77-78? I can't really remember, it was at a Day on the Green concert at Oakland Coliseum and I for some reason remember alot of fireworks. I was pretty hammered at that concert, imagine that.

They were awesome..........TURN IT UP!

Ever since my kids (9, 12 and 15) got Guitar Hero on playstation they are huge Skynyrd fans to the point of driving me nuts about it, playing Freebird everyday. Never thought my kinda music would be passed on to the kids.

They wanted me to take them to the concert at Sunset Station in Henderson last week but I talked them out of it. Then they wanted to stand outside the fence (outdoor concert) and listen in. Sheesh. Kids these days.

Thanks for posting the youtube link. Kids will LOVE it.
