It won't be long before antelope applications are due. They sure are fun critters to hunt and to photograph. As I get older I like to take their photo as much or more than hunt them. But they will always remain to me a very interesting critter.

Here's just a few of the many antelope photos I took last year. I look forward to more this year and I wish all of you who have applied for a license, not only good luck on the draw but on your hunt too. Remember its far more than just killing. It took me a long time to realize that but I am grateful I finally have. BB

Really beautiful photos BB. Thank you for sharing them and thank you for your words. There is a wonderful article written about the life history of pronghorns written by Chris Madson, editor of Wyoming Wildlife magazine. I think it is entitled "Another Generation", written maybe 5-8 years ago. Your photos reminded me of the message he conveys in that article -- that pornghorns are graceful, beautiful animals so uniquely adapted to the harsh world of the Great Plains. They are one of my favorites. I'm planning to buy a doe tag for this fall and bring my 6-year old son along so he can experience the sights and smells of antelope country in the great state of Wyoming. Thanks again.

Most of these photos were taken with an Olympus E-5 but a few were taken with my point and shoot Pansonic FZ-200

I too find pronghorns very fascinating and try to spend a great deal of time with then and their country, which also holds a beauty far beyond the eye of the beholder.
