I know, here we go again with which unit to put in for?.. That said I am a nonresident and will be going in blind to this year?s hunt. I have enough points to draw whatever general unit I want. I will not be able to scout due to my work load being crazy up until the hunt. I plan on a bow hunt and will hunt just about any type of terrain anywhere in the state. Like everyone else I want that 180? buck, but I am more than happy just seeing ?normal? bucks here and there throughout the hunt. With the inability to scout what would you guys suggest?
I will be willing to trade info for semi-easy to draw archery elk unit in NM that holds some good bulls (360? average). I know you guys have bigger elk, but the area I have you can draw every couple of years as opposed to the wait you guys have in your draw and you will see 350? bulls regularly. The last three times we have drawn this area we have taken at least one 350?+ bull between the three of us. The one I took this year was 363?. Again I will trade this info for solid UT deer info. I also have info on public land barbary sheep areas that hold decent sheep if that interests you.
PM me if you want to trade specific info, otherwise I appreciate any generalized info you are willing to provide. Thanks.
