Looking for a new elk unit

I have hunted the Bannock zone for elk for several years now and am discouraged with my success. Can anyone tell what the hunting has been like for the snake river and tex creek zones. I just want to put meat in the freezer so take a cow is my priority. Any replies are really appericated and thanked in advance

personally, if your goal is just to fill the freezer and not for the experience and wilderness, the desert hunt would be a better choice IMO. goes for 4 months.
i've never been a Tex Creek fan. too many people in too short of time.

there are still good elk numbers out on the desert and due to its extended season, less people to run into.
