Looking for a meat hunt, any help?

I bought a general deer tag for when I went archery elk hunting, just in case. Well I shot my elk, and didn't plan on using my deer tag, but my parents are coming down the first weekend of October, so I thought it would be nice for my dad and I to go out and do a day of deer hunting. I am from cheyenne, and I am looking at units 76 and 15. If anybody has any ideas of where we could head to put some meat in the freezer, shoot me a pm. Just looking for any legal buck or a doe. Public land would be great, or if you know any landowners who want a doe shot, shoot me their information and I can give them a call and talk to them. Thanks in advance guys!

You might want to check the regulations regarding blasting a doe, I think in those units the only doe hunting allowed is whitetails. Mule deer I believe is 3 point or better.

Maybe consider an additional cow/calf tag if you're just looking for a meat hunt instead of hammering deer that arent doing real well.

I will have to look at the regulations again, I was thinking it was 3 pt or better or a doe. I am new to Wyoming, so the regulations are still confusing to me. I would love to shoot another cow this winter, but I already dropped 160 to process the one I shot last week, so I was hoping I could shoot a deer so I could
Just process it at home, and I already bought the tag. Thanks

You are correct sir, has to be a buck. Great, was hoping I could just go pop a doe and be done with it. I don't understand why you have to draw for a doe tag, but a buck tag is over the counter, it should be the other way around if you ask me.

The doe numbes are the herd. If you take them out, the deer are gone. Bucks are expendable. If the buck numbers get to low people stop going. Good luck, and enjoy the time you have with your Father. It ends way to quick.

With numbers down we need the does. Look at the antelope they gave out a ton of doe tags and now the numbers struggle in lots of areas along with many factors that drive numbers down.

What about a extra whitetail tag somewhere? Better eating In my opinion.
