Longrange practice tip!

Here's what I do to shoot past 60yds.

For 70yds I put my 60yd pin on what I want to hit then look to see where my 50yd pin is. I than move my 60 up to where my 50 is and fire away.

For 80yds I do the same as above, but use my 40yd pin.

For 90 I use my 20yd.

For 100 I use my level.

I shoot a bowtech allegiance with a 5 pin spot hogg sight. The wire in the sight makes long shots easyier. My bow is turned down to 63lbs. It shoots around 275fps. So if your bow shoots similar speeds. You should be able to do what I do.

I won't shoot an animal at the longer range, but I will practice them to make me a better shot.

I know a couple guys who can shoot pretty far , but thats way too far for me.I killed my first muley at 42 yards but since then I haven't shot beyond 28 yards.I've been tinkering the thought of bow hunting antelope and knw I should probly further my distance, but 50 yards is pretty much my max that I'm able to consistantly put arrows where I want them. I'm happy when I can just hits 8s' on targets at 3D shoots that are set up at long 60 yard ranges.20,30,40,50 is my pin set.I also shoot a bow tech , mine is a liberty vft though..

I will have to try that. I think shooting long range (over 70yds)just makes you better at closer ranges. your speed sounds a little high for only 63 pounds you must be shooting a superlite arrow which is going to effect your down range accuracy. I hope you dont try an animal that far with that setup. I shoot a switchback dont no the specs just no how far my max range is and wont go beyond it. Shot a buck last year at 63yds and past up a bigger one at 70

425grn arrow at 29" draw length. My ibo is 325. So that's really not that fast.

And no I would not shoot an elk or deer that far away. A coyote on the other hand is going to be in big trouble.

Has this been registered through a chronograph?!

my buddy was shooting a bowtech allegiance through a chrony today with a 415 gr arrow at 70 and it was 303.....cbryant

Yes it has. Two different ones. Both were within a couple fps. I actually switched this year to a heavier head so it has gone down 8-10fps.

I've got custom strings on it with a string loop. The strings gave me a few fps over the factory ones.
