Great forum!
I am considering taking a position in Buckeye. I am willing to commute 20 miles to work.
I've never hunted AZ. And can use some advice where to buy a house that reduces my drive time to hunt areas. Deer, hogs, cats, birds.
I'm currently in Oregon and 30 min to good hunting areas so I'm able to hunt after work.
Thanks for any advice.

Although I am not yet a Arizona resident I bought property there and will retire there in a few years. There are outdoor activities in all directions from Buckeye. The cooler higher elevations are north of Phoenix. The 303 freeway around the west valley is a newer larger freeway that can take you to the north without hitting to much traffic. We have horses so we bought land in Wickenburg. With a name like team penner you might be looking for horse property. Wickenburg may be a little long for your commute but check the areas west of the 303 and north of the 10

Thanks desperatehills
Wickenburg looks like a good area but I am done with long commutes.
My handle comes from younger days.
Sold all the horses, trailer and tack. Into fishing, hunting and golf now.
It will be exciting exploring and finding new hunting areas.
Thanks again.
