Lion capture photos

Went out this past weekend to capture and remove the collar from one of the cats in a study being done here in Southern Alberta. This little female gave us quite the chase for the second time in a row.

Great pic, Rod. I'm curious if you are learning anything in the study. Any info that you can share is appreicated. Lions are a big problem here in Wyoming and any new information will be appreciated.

Lots of learning?s coming out of the data so far. Home range can vary extensively between cats, female or male. Some are specialists wrt their prey ( we kind of knew that ) and they scavenge a lot more than we originally thought. Will have a detailed summary in a year or so.
