Light or Heavy Bow?

I have heard some say that they like a light bow and I've heard some like a heavier bow. Which do you guys prefer? I like a heavier bow because it is easier to keep steady while shooting. My Switchback is fairly heavy but I shoot it better than my light PSE. Tell me what you think.

I'm with you.I like a bow a little on the heavy side. don't get me wrong, I'd love to pack a light weight bow on a back country hunt. But I feel like I shoot better with a heavier bow. I also think the extra weight contributes to a smoother quieter shot.

I agree. Too lite of a bow and it won't be able to absorb the shot as well as a heavier bow. There is a happy medium, and I think most bows fall into that category.

Mathew LX just as fast(actually over a chrono as 95% of the new stuff) and twice as forgiving. New is not always better.

Light is nice to carry all day, but a little weight helps with shock absorbtion and is easier to hold steady in the wind.
