Dont bash me for showing this skull on my quad but it looks good with a reference of size,31 inches wide.

Lion killed Oregon Blacktail. Found it in early February of this year.

Found this winter killed Oregon Blacktail in late February of this year. The mass on this buck was incredible!

Another Oregon lion killed Blacktail I found in March.

Same buck after I pulled it out from under the tree.

A buck I call Labotomy. I don't know what killed him. Thinking he may have bust his skull while fighting. Took me a month to find his match even though it was less than 5 feet away buried under the snow. This buck grosses 190 NT and was found spring 2005.

I found this skull and antlers north of Yellowstone Park in 1987. It had been dead a long time the critters ate some of the tines and was covered in lichen. I scraped, sanded and use an antler repair kit, than I stained the antlers and painted the skull white. I've found some old and crusted antlers in this area, there were some big bucks there forty years ago, but rare to see anything this size these days. Outside spread is 30 inches and 20 inches tall.

here is a good one that my brother in law found and gave to me. It is 34 inches wide it looked like an older buck. It is a pretty good find

sorry, no field pic of this one...found it long before affordable digi cams came along, not that i own one of those high-tech cams now

i found this one about that long ago as well

that is the only skull i have ever found that winterkilled in mid-shed.

here are a few that I've found over the last couple of years:

This one belongs to a student of my wife. He found it on my timber company's property so he brought it by to show me. It's a pretty neat looking skull.

Here are most of my skulls; I'm missing a nice 3x3 that is at work, and a couple of small forkies.
