That was 2012 in AK, took my buddy and I 3 years of planning and logistics to get that done. I’ve never hunted Shiras so super excited to get out there at the end of the month. Saw some great moose while scouting in July.

Killed this guy at 15 yds, pumped all 3 of my friends got to experience the stalk one way or another. Crazy fronts and 50 1/2 wide great bull.

Thank you much appreciated, the best thing I did was fly out in July and learn the roads and have a few different game plans in place. Recruiting 3 buddies also helped a bunch.

Proud of my Pops for getting it done at age 73!!??

Thanks man! It is that savage beard ? This may have been his last big game hunt. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s awhile back and is having a hard time getting around, so this was an extra special accomplishment for him!

Sorry to hear that but what a great memory. That’s a stud of a bull in your pic also! I believe I’m at 13 Elk NR let me know if you have any ideas where I should burn my points. Have a good rest of the season.
