Leopold, Cabelas, or Vortex

I have been looking into getting a spotting scope and the Leopold Sequoia and Cabelas Big Sky were top on my list and in my price range until I heard everyone here talking about the Vortex scopes. I have never heard about them but looked at one of the links and they are in a similar price range. What are your opinions on the three? Which would you recommend and why?

Thanks,
Fuzzy

I bought a Sequoia a few years back and would NOT suggest spending any money on that scope. The eyepiece is horrible, narrow range of focus, and the glass is VERY poor in low light. I don't own it anymore.

I just ordered a Vortex Nomad from Doug at Cameraland - it should be here anyday. We'll see how it compares. I have wanted a smaller scope like this for packing and based on reviews and a bit of hands-on, it should fit the bill!

That may help narrow it down a bit more!
