I am looking at an archery hunt on the eastern Lemhi slopes. I have scouted a couple of the major canyons and have horses to go deep if needed. Do the smaller canyons tend to hold more elk than the bigger ones? What is the wolf situation like? The fall back is a late cow muzzy tag-is that a good meat hunt. I am not looking for honey hole secrets, but some basic info would be helpful.
