what is your vote.... almost the same price and specs except for built in range finder....

I have the Leica's, and I LOVE them. I bought them just for the reason you already pointed out. Great optics combined with a laser rangefinder! How can you lose? But, on the other side, you've got an unbeatable swarovski warranty, combined with possibly the best product on the market. So, it's just a matter of preferance and priorities. Go to Sportsman's Warehouse or someplace that sells both , and compare them side by side.

I sold my EL's to buy 10x42 Geovids.....

My new Leica geovids worked out great this year on 2 elk hunts yes very expensive but worth it if you like to glass alot the range finder comes in very handy and quick during the moment of truth.
