Just FYI...
There are a ton of left over archery, HAM, and rifle javelina tags for units all over the state. If you have never been, it is a lot of fun and a great opportunity for kids to get something killed. The AZGFD will be accepting applications starting 11/29 by mail and then you can by them over the counter starting on 12/6. Good Luck

An out of state license for an adult is $151.00 and for a junior (10-14 yrs old) it is $15.00. To get the junior price you have to buy the license from an AZGFD office or online. The price of the tags are $105.00 for general, HAM, and archery hunts. For a "juniors only hunt" I believe the non-resident price is the same as resident $22.50, but I could be mistaken. I will throw on a link to the AZGFD and the spring hunting regs, but if there are any other questions, let me know.

Junior season is different timing, they shortened the archery season so kids can go before HAM. If you want to hunt with your kid, you have to buy the full price tag for you both. The kid can still get by with the cheaper license. If you just want to take your kid and be the guide, the kid can go for the cheaper junior tag.

Yeah, but getting a junior tag over the other tags for javelina is no big deal. If you want to hunt with your kid, just get both of you the regular tag. I guarantee it will be just as good as the junior tag for javelina.

Junior tags are great for most hunts, but it really doesnt matter for javelina.

Also there are metro tags that anybody can buy over the counter at walmart etc. Even if you draw a unit you can still buy a metro tag but you can only tag one pig a year.
