This shed is perfect in color with NO sign of fading, but it has a little chew on every point, plus being a raghorn I really dont think it could be this years bull. I saw like 6 raghorns all carrying yesterday.....

could be this years. I found a 300 inch set 2 years ago on january 3rd. I followed the tracks in the snow to find the set. Some times they just come early. Great find non the less.

HS,

was the other side as brown as the upside shown in the pic?

with the chew marks and no blood on the base, i would say it was last years drop but what do i know?

earliest elk sheds i know of around here was a set i found March 12, and RD found a single on March 6 a few years ago...of course, each year there is always one wierd, early dropper down in the gardiner area so who knows?

bottom line is, keep on looking in that area and you'll find more in the coming couple months.

Yeah, I plan to look it over a bit more, and yeah, its brown all the way around, but the ped is white with no hint of blood. Its last years, but I just cant believe the shape its in!

You start after deer bone yet?

HS,

went out for the first time this year on sat...won't be bothering to go again for about a month. no snow so the horns are going to be scattered this year. good luck to you.

They certainly aren't concentrated on any "windswept ridges" are they!

Good luck man!

I've been out quite a bit lately berto and it's tuff...real scattered....I've got 7 total but only 2 are freshies and 2 more were attached to a carcus that some hunter lost? The rest were all from last year......I can't seem to find em and I've been high,low,north,south,up,down,under...think they're burying them again this year?

Great way to start out Ernie, i agree with the buried part, this is the toughest year I have ever seen.
