Last sheds of '05?

If you can't ski in it, you might as well keep hiking. Besides this way, you never know if you might come across a decent horn or two. I've found a few horns in the last couple of weeks in the same general area - not a set anywhere- go figure. One from today was a smaller match to one that I found earlier.

Went out with the wife and Lilruttnstrutt the day after Christmas. All the snow had pretty much melted off in our area pushing the tall grass down. The wife found her first elk shed, a spike and Lilrutt found the match. Worth the trip....and to think we've walked that area at least 4 different times this year and missed them. The last 2 for the year. Man I'm gettin antsy........:7

was out yesterday lookin for moose and stumbled onto my first fresh shed of the season...scrawny little whitetail but it's a start......
