Last Day Utah general hunt

Well i missed this buck sat night got back on him the last day of the hunt sunday morning. put alot of miles on my feet still hurt now passed up small two points. Told myself not to give up i gave it my all after jumping him about 20 yards and could not get him in my sights finally i did hit a tree. The next moring found him about 400 yards from the place i jumped him ranged at 277 yards i knocked him down he got back up the the 2nd shot went over his head 3rd shot knocked him down again for the final kill shot he is a 5x5 if you count eye guards he is a 6x6 24" wide. Old buck big body big block head and huge neck all meat on his neck what a toad for me was like a kid at the candy store. Thank god everyday i get to hunt his animals and for letting me take one. Big thanks to my buddy jason for hitting the hills with me for a couple days. Now its time to help him find a nice buck off the front.

Congratulations. Many many of us shoot a deer every year. The best ones are those you remember, whether for the shot, the company, size of the antlers or...the work and adventure that went into the hunt.
