My daughter has drawn a Muzzleloader Elk tag for LaSal unit and Dad will be her unofficial guide. We are going to have a great time and I am hopeful for any info that could add to our experience. Thank you.

Haven't spent anytime on the LaSal unit myself but have heard good things. The Muzzy hunt is a great time of year and you can usually catch them rutting. So I would practice your elk calling, we have had more luck with cow calls. Also lots of practice with the musket, find where she is comfortable to and find a good load for the gun. You will have lots of fun so enjoy it.
