Kowa spotting scope

I have spent a lot of time researching and it looks like the Kowa 883 is the top rated scope on the market.

Does anyone know anything good or bad about Kowa?

Like said before, the Kowa 883 is top rated! They are hard to find much info on in the hunting community, because they are less popular here. Check out some of the bird watching forums. Those guys pick apart glass, and will have a wealth of information compared to MM. Also another good forum is www.opticstalk.com A lot of good info there as well.

Search for previous Kowa threads on MM. The 883 is the best there is. I have previous posts about my side-by-side comparisons you can find from earlier this year.

I just don't have the cash to buy one right now, or I would.

The Leica APO 82 isn the new top dog all optical aspects considered. However, All the high end scope are so good now that I would be wise to buy the one you can get the best deal on-IMO.
