Kluane??

I have not see any pictures or heard anything about the Kluane dall hunt this year. Any one know anything?

If it is in the 160's that would be about $1,500-$2,000 per inch!

What does the tag usually go for?

If you read in the go to "Read more" for 2008 it says they all the guides misjudged the ram and does not even tell a score. The tag cost $315,000. Ouch!

A gorgeous ram and an incredible hunt. However, for that price you would hope not to have to write the following in the story of the hunt.

"After some cheers and high fives, we went over to the
ram. We took photos and then the moment of truth,
the tape measure. The ram measured 40 inches on its
good horn and 13 inch bases. The team went very quiet,
we all unanimously though the ram was a lot bigger.
The whole guiding team was humbled that day."

I think it is ridiculous to pay for a score. I'm sure the guys who can afford it are first and foremost buying a great hunt, and knowing that they're helping conservation. And if I could afford it, I would expect to harvest a trophy. But once you select to take an animal on such a hunt ( or on any very hard to draw tag ) you shouldn't be disappointed by a tape measure.Great hunts and animals shouldn't be measured in inches.
