Kiss My Bass!

We never got up north this year to fish winter steelhead.
The rain was spaced in a way that just never let us go.
The rain combined with lousy reports kept us home.
We have been spending a lil more time at the lake since it is five minutes from home.
The bass are getting a little more active with warmer water and pre spawn.
Thomas landed a grand slam of bass in rotation yesterday.

Certainly not he glamour of chrome bright steelhead, but not a bad way to spend time with your kid.

It looks like another great weekend with your son. Congrats on the good fishing day. I'm not a bass fisherman, what's a spotted bass? Is it a hybrid or a pure species. The markings are unmistakeable. I've heard of them, but I think it's the first time I've seen one.
