IS ANY ONE GOING TO ARCHERY HUNT UP THERE THIS YEAR. MYSELF AND A GROUP OF FRIENDS WILL BE UP THERE FOR A WEEK. JUST CAME ACROSS THIS SITE, I LIKE IT ALOT. GOOD LUCK TO ALL
I won't be up on the kaibab for the second year in a row due to an archery elk hunt. There should be some great antler growth up there this year. Also a lot of smaller bucks due to all the moisture. Let us know how you all do up on the Kaibab this archery season. Good Luck!
I've got a buddy from SLC who wants to come down and hunt the second weekend. It conflicts with my 6A archery cow hunt, but I think I'll pass on the first couple of days of the elk hunt and get up to the Kiabab. Maybe hit 6A for a couple of days on the way home.... I didn't go to the Kiabab last year for the first time in several years, and I missed it. I know the deer heards are down over the past few years but there is nothing like those views from the North Rim. ;-)
Since I can't get up there until the 2nd weekend, I'll be looking forward to some reports from you early birds. Good luck!
DQ had a cow tag in 5bn two years ago and called in five big bulls what a great place to hunt!!!! during the week it realy slows down on the kaibab not so many road hunters!!! one thing I can say is that with all thrus hunters it sure moves the deer around.
I really do want to go now that I have the time but I drew a rifle tag there so Im not sure If I want to drive up there 3x's. I didnt get the trophy hunt in the nov but I do have a tag in a trophy area. Who know luck may be in my favor along with a mapservice. What will you be driving and where will you be camping Drophorn?
BK will look at a map this weekend to see the road numbers and will let you know!!!!! you know how it is, been in there three years in a row but still don't know the road numbers. but will be up there in a 1980 blue cj5 jeep.
