A good friend of mine, who has had little chance of ever hunting, drew a kamas moose tag.
Any one have some ideas where to start looking?
They would really appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance.

Try up in the Soapstone basin area. Usually a good bull or 2 in there. I believe everything on the left side of the road is in your unit. Don't quote me on that though. Check the boundaries. Good luck. It usually produces a couple of good bulls every year.

It's always an adventure!!!

Thanks!!!!
Do you find the moose are back in a way? This person has limited mobility and I worry about getting them too far in.
Thanks again awholelotta!

I have seen them both, right off the road and from a distance with a spotting scope. With all of the water this year I'm not sure what to tell you. There are usually sheep herders that run the area and have been a lot of help in the past. Keep a couple of Corona's in the cooler. They will divulge a lot for a beer or 2.:D

There always seems to be some real nice bull moose hangin' around the Smith/Moorehouse area and there is a nice campground there too.
