Is anybody up-to-date on the water/forage conditions of the North Rim this Sept? I wasn't able to do any scouting this year so any info will be helpful!
Was up there last wekend, been getting some good rain for the last month, a lot of the tanks that were dry last year have water in them this year, and the deer are looking really healthy, saw some really nice bucks. Put my tree stands up about a month ago and things are look pretty good for this coming FRIDAY. Hope you have a good hunt!!!!!!!!!!
That's good news for folks like myself who don't have a waterhole "reserved"! I'm quessing we won't be lonely up there this year, but I've always enjoyed it anyway. Good Luck!!
Not sitting any tanks this year, learned my leason last year when I had five other tree stands around me on opening day, that SUCKED!!!!!! so my stands are on trails this year. Good luck to you on your hunt.
I'm going up with my brother. I think it's funny that guys get in fights over waterholes and what not up there. I have a climber and I don't like to sit much but really to the guys that think they have dibs on waterholes or locations. It's public land and be courteous. Hopefully it's a good hunt. Thats part of public land hunting that will be hard on this trip but at least we can all see some deer. I love it!!!!
