Since this place is getting pretty dead. I a doing a post prior to going shed hunting this weekend. I remember seeing a bull on a ridge one winter (close to 300")actually two winters ago. I plan on going on the opposite side of the ridge and looking across with a spotting scope to see if I can find some white tine tomorrow. If I am successful I will make a trek to the other ridge on the following day for a retrieval. If I am unable to spot anything at all then I will spend my weekend hunting mule deer sheds. Wish me luck and expect updates. I will post pictures whether I find bone or not.

'un'....good attitude..good luck...i spent some time yesterday doing the very same thing..i'm actually glad i didn't see something, as i was regretting the upcoming hike if i did...keep us posted.

You two are lucky to not have to haul them heavy ol bones back up to the truck in this heat swatten the blood suckin skeeters all the way, thats a lot of work!

Time in the hills is always worth more than money

OK so here is the update or follow up from my original post. I am tired and beat. It was a hot freaking day. Anyhow I got to my spot at about 9:00 and hiked for an hour to my prime shed hunting area. As soon as I arrived I immediatly began my climb up a steep shale face. Not more than fifteen minutes into the climb I find this....

As I am walking over to pick that shed up I also notice this...

As I approach more closely I am dissapointed to discover that it is only a chalker. Here is a closer picture.

Anyhow the other shed still hasnt run away with someone else so upon approach I discover that it is a fresh antler from this winter. :) Anyhow I spent another 2 hrs looking for more sheds but came up empty handed. Anyhow I hope this livens things up a little.
