There might be an increase of really dark horned animals running around all over the state this year. I sure would like to get a buck with black horns, just like the book cliffs buck killed by a woman a few years back.

Been quite a few years ago when they had the big Fire out on top!

The following year I seen one of the neatest looking Bucks I've ever seen that Rubbed in the Burn!

Jet Black horns,I'm talking they looked like Gloss Black Spray Painted Black!

Never could find him during Season,wonder hogg if it was the same Buck?

Alot of BLM Ground out there!

I wonder if the BLM will let them take some big CAT'S in there or are they gonna need to do an Enviromental Impact Study first to see how many weeds & Sage Brush the CAT'S will Damage/Kill?

I have been working in the oil field for anadarco changing out some poles and they told me there are some endangered cactus that cost ten grand apiece if you run one over, so it might be cheaper to let it burn.

I got one of those jetblack horned buck out a burn about 15 years ago, People ask me all the time if I colored them. LOL
They still are awesome looking.

Just heard it was up to 8000 acres. Not good. Wish it was burning on top of the book cliffs or in the middle elevation belt of thick cedars. Burning in good winter range will take out the browse and probably just replace it with cheat grass. A few burns here and there on the winter range are okay, but really big ones on the winter range aren't what we need out there. If we had a big one on the Book Cliffs summer range, now that would be awesome.

i just dont get why you guys think fires are so horrible! it will likely grow a little cheatgrass or if they dont reseed then a lot. but obviously there is way to much fuel to burn if its that bad! a fire was likely long over due for the area just like everywhere else is long overdue. these big fires get outta control becausse of all the suppression. anyway i bet this fire will help in the long run. might be rough the first year but after that i bet you guys will be either shed hunting it or hunting deer on it.
