Javelina Success???

Just wondering who all has had any success with the javelina, with the drought conditions in AZ and lack of water, I would suspect the success to be pretty good. I took a good boar out of unit 19B on my second day out, not bad for an out of stater I geuss that was a virgin to the piggie huntin.

Was this the first time you've hunted Javelina? Did you enjoy the hunt? I'm going out this weekend. My friend that I hunt with went out last weekend....he came across a javvy that had been killed by a lion, so they went & got their dogs & 1 hr later had the thing treed. Pretty sweet.

i killed a nice pig on the !st in the fields out here by willcox. it weighed 58# and we green scored the head to be about 14-15 in. good pig.

I'm teaching my 15 year old how to archery hunt and this is his 1st archery Javelina hunt. So far we are 100%....in finding piggies that is. But closing the deal has proven to be a little tougher.

I tried the predator call last weekend and that just sent them running in the opposite direction.

Hopefully we will get out again this year.
