Nevada has had a great year and just flat out beat Boise State. But keep in mind we are still ranked in the top ten and will be attending a bowl game unlike the Idaho Vandals. Just to remind you we have beat you 11 years in a row and you only have 5 wins this year...Just saying!!

It's cute how you BSU fans so quickly forget the fact that you used to suck, maybe its because you all became fans like 6 years ago when they got good and you don't know a damn thing about the history of the team or the rivalry. It's also cute how you throw around words like "WE" or "US" when refering to the football team, but none of you are actual alumni. Boise State is nothing more than a community college with a good football team, which just recently got good mind you. I'm mean, enrollment approaching 35,000 and there's only twice as many living alum??? You're kidding right? They should be forced to compete with jc's for being a downright pathetic school. I agree with you, you did have our number back in the day. Even though we are moving up too a little bigger conference it still will be good for us. This will increase our strength of schedule a little bit. Having to play teams such as Idaho has hurt us over the years. The only reason your upset BSU is leaving is cause the Vandals will loose millions of dollars by Bsu winning bowl games.

As far as the degree thing, myself and a few other MM members have managed to get a 4 year degree and i didn't loose a liver in the process.

I'm old as hell and attended most if not all the U of I thrashings of BSU. Learned enough to know Vandal fans are complete jack-asses as is evidenced by your posts on this thread.
Fact is I have no animosity for the school/team. Just there big-mouth snot nosed fans. If roles were reversed I'd show support for the school since they represent my home state. Hell I even went to the damn H-Bowl to root for them vs Bowling Green. Admittedly I was mostly there for the beer, but I did go through the motions at least.

Outside this state, U of I ain't even a blip on the radar. The only hope for exposure they have is during "rivalry week" and that just went bye-bye.

BSU, on the other hand, has been one of the most polarizing/talked about teams in the nation for several years now. You'll never admit it but the more press they get, the better for your program. That loss to UNR hurt BSU. but it also hurt U of I.


BTW....back in the day, there was not a polar-fleece wearing Vandal I could not drink under the table and right into the emergency room. Food for thought...........

This is a hunting forum........... Vandal fans your doing nothing more than proving you have 0 class once again. been to lot's of games and the worst have been the Vandal's and Duck fan's. Yep BSU choked coaches and the players and they have or it will set the school back a few for what they have been building the last years. If you think Boise isnt a good team then I guess you guy's really are the dumbsh--- that sit in the stands nad have never set foot on a field or your used to watching the other team in Idaho. That loss cost all in the Wac a million bucks which Idaho could have used to work on that barn......which BSU took you out behind and kicked your arse...they could have put a hundered on you guys you should be embarressed at what kind of program you have up there it's team's like that ruining respect and chances for other programs and why you think Idaho is some great educational palace is beyond the rest of us it's just not the ticket nor has been for a long time....sorry I cheered for them last year as well.

Growing up in Boise and now living in Utah, I gotta say this rivalry is not given enough credit for the absolute HATRED that exists between the two schools. My parents are both from Utah and transplanted to Boise in the mid 70's, so they didn't have allegiance to either school. I knew teachers, coaches, friends parents, and many others that went to Idaho and they were sure proud of their Vandals.

Playing high school football in the early 90's and being recruited by various colleges in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Nevada I can tell you that I NEVER considered playing college ball for Boise State. I did however consider playing for Idaho. When I graduated, Idaho had a much better program than Boise State.

Fast forward 16 years and you have a whole different situation. Boise State has grown to be a legitimate power that has proven to be a very good match for anyone they play. (I am not a BSU fan, just an objective college football fan). I get an absolute kick out of watching the Idaho fans hate on BSU and the BSU fans look down on the Idaho fans. Pretty good entertainment.

Fact of the matter is, wolves continue to torment the state of Idaho! The Pack absolutely dismantled the Broncos in the second half of that game. I attended both the university of Nevada and the University of Idaho. I find it pretty funny that all the U of I fans are jumping on the NV bandwagon as a means to bash BSU because NV did something the U of I hasn't been able to, nor will be able to do for a long, long time. Hats off to Boise State for building up a program that is talked about on a national level daily, and congrats to my Wolf Pack for doing what few have been able to for a long time! GO PACK!!
