I shoot a Hoyt Xtec with carbon arrows and the spitfire expandable broadhead.....I am hoping to draw my Utah Archery tag this coming season and would like to use this broadhead since it fly's exactly like my field points....Is it legal?

Yes it is legal in Utah. Are you trying to draw a general Archery tag? If so, you should get it without any trouble. They usually have them over the counter.

NV,

For what it's worth. I've shot the Spitfire a lot. They produce a heck of a wound, with very short blood trails.
I had to be careful with them though, because my quiver would slightly open them sometimes. I got used to closing all of the blades every time I took them out. I've heard stories of some that hit the riser upon release.

The last couple of years I've tried the NAP Shockwave and now the Scorpion. I really like the Scorpions' cut on impact tip, and the blades will not open prematurely. It also has a smaller diameter, and I like that for bigger game. They both fly like the Spitfire, and field points.
