is strawberry frozen over yet

i was hoping to do some ice fishing this weekend and was wondering if the lake has safe ice. if so are the fish biting maybe you could help me on this one berry blaster or anyone else

There's some brave fellers out on it i sure ain't one of them, yet. Give it tell after the weekend brian, got some colder weather on the way in that ought to do the trick. I've been hearin reports of ice anywhere from 3" to 6". Yesterday, the first we had our 1st 15lbs fish of the year tho!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-09 AT 07:24PM (MST)[p]i know this should be in another forum but thought i would post some info.i made it up to the berry on 1/4/09 and the ice was 6-8 inches in most spots with two of that being frozen slush.the fishing was kind of spotty we had to move quite a bit to get on them. and only hooked up on 6 for the whole day.everyone else around us did not have much luck either. we did see some nice bulls on our way up with one pushing 340.and also seen a dead fox on the back of a snowmobile {my 10 year old nephew got a kick out of that}all in all very cold day and slow fishing but well worth it

I think I must have seen the same bull on the west side of the road maybe 1/4 way up. There were two other ~300 bulls about 1/2 way up just past Center Canyon. I almost always see nice bulls on that side of the road in winter.
