Iowa pheasants

How is the pheasant population looking like in Iowa this year? I will be going the second week of November to my families farms in the Clear Lake area. From what i hear from them the population is looking OK, muck like last year. I will also be pheasant hunting around Fontanelle on some land my aint has lined up for us. How is the population in southwest iowa???

i have read the pheasant population is supposed to be pretty good...good luck..hope you have a dog along...

Adair County(Fontanelle)is one one the highest in the state. Some areas are going to be better than others depending on cover, predators, food, etc. Good luck, ccchopper.
