Thanks for posting the article. Interesting story, indeed.
In my opinion, I dont believe there is just one factor affecting mule deer herds, but a cumulation of a number of factors, ie: developement, energy exploration, habitat decline, drought, and predators.
Glad I support conservation organizations(even if it is only in a small way) that are working to identify and solve these issues before its too late.
