Hey guys, just a reminder to inspect your carbon arrows once in a while. Last week i went to shoot the video system on the way home from work and the very first shot my arrow broke in 3 pieces coming out of the bow!! I am very lucky none of the parts went into my arm. I do not know if part of the shaft hit my arm or the arrow trying to cartwheel made the string whip this bad but damn that hurt!!! This is after the swelling went down but i had an egg! The bruise went all the way under the part you can see and up towards my wrist 3/4 the way

I bet you never forget to check them again, looks like it stung a little.

ouch!!!!!! never had that happen but i got slapped by a tear drop acrossed the shoulder when fellow shotter and i were on the shooting line and damn that hurt. looks like you were lucky none of the arrow went in to you.

What brand of arrows were you shooting and how long have you been shooting them?

What do you mean by check em'? Check for cracks or what? You got me a little freaked now.

Yes, flex them, twist them, look for any signs of cracks opening up when bent or twisted. Listen for any crunching when bending them. when they let loose it is usually all at once!

OUCH!

good thing...always check before shooting some arrows!!

but still..thanks for remind!

Thanks for the heads up, my carbons have printed on them that they should be checked prior to each use and now I know why.
