Of course I will beat somebody else to the point that you shouldn't change what you know works and stick with a Leopold VXIII. In terms of another scope recommendation in the same category as Leupold VXIII, I hear good things about the Zeiss scopes and they seem similar in price.
I love Swaro bino's/spotters but don't hear enough about their scopes being worth the price.
Other brands I hear good things about, but may be a step below Leupold is some of the Nikon and Bushnell. I have a few of the Busnell Elite's for my boys .270 and .280 and they seem excellent for the $$. I also have a Burris Fullfield with the BDC reticle and while the reticle is nice, the glass is very poor.
