I have a little pair of Leupold Wind Rivers (old version mid 1990's) that are I.F. They are pretty much set and forget no need to refocus as distance to object being viewed changes. The only real disadvantage I know of is that you can't "look throght" brush between you and the object. It can be a real disadvantage hunting in brushy country. Open country no problem. However, I prefer the normal arrangement of a diopter and center focus wheel.
