IDAHO MOOSE?

Hello,

Drew #48 up by Sun Valley. The unit is referenced as 48 in the regs but it contains only a small portion of 48 east of hwy 75. It is all of unit 49 tho.

Anybody seen any nice bulls in the past couple of years?

Was driving around last weekend in 48, and saw alot of moose sign in the Deer Creek Drainage. I don't know if the area going up Trail Creek, out of Sun Valley is in your unit/s, I believe it is, there are always moose down near the beaver ponds, it is nice because you can just sit at one of the many turnouts and glass. Not a huge moose population, but they are really expanding their range. Call Wayne at High Desert Sports, he had the tag in 2004, and shot a good bull with bow. I am not gauranteeing that he will tell you much, but it is worth a try.

Thanks Outdoordan. Yes the trail creek drainage is in the hunt area, I will check it out. Planning a scout trip over the 4th of july weekend.
I know Wayne, was in the Army same time as he was and did the same job. Will be talking to him.
Are you from the SV area?
