Idaho Moose Question

Just wondering what would be the better unit to put in for a bull moose Unit 69-1, 69-2, or 69-3? I'm looking for a decent moose not a trophy. I would like to hunt an area with some access to get into an area and then hunt. What are the numbers of animals like in these units? what size to expect etc. Just some general info and starting points. How much public land? I have looked at the harvest numbers and antler spread etc. on the fish and game web site for these units and they are similar to each other. Any suggestions
Thanks for the help,

Brian

Don't even wast your time hunting moose in this region. The moose that have not been killed by over harvest are dyeing from a disease transmitted by black flies. The same thing is happening to the older moose in Wyoming along the border of Idaho. But the root of the problem is Idaho fish and games inability to manage the resource.

My family has killed 4 bulls in 69, but that was back when there were a good number of BIG BULLS to be hunted. The F and G have given out to many permitts in this area. We run cattle in 69 and used to see many moose (especially during the rut) as we would be in the area, but this is no longer true. There are fewer bulls and they are small. This is also an area that is mostly privately owned ground so it is somewhat difficult to get on unless you know the owners.

I'm just glad that we drew our tags 10 to 15 years ago.
