Is there any elk at all in the mountains range between Swan Valley and Victor? Do they winter on the Swan Valley Side?

Good numbers and pretty good bulls, if you look hard enough. The area from Heise all the way up to Alpine has rough country, with lower pressure. This winter they seemed content to stay on my daughter-in-laws ranch. Biggest bull herd was about 30 animals.

Yeah they are up there. A lot of those elk move down into the Teton river canyon and flats to winter. Some go down into Tex Creek. How familiar are you with the area? Those Mts are called the Big Holes. Do you go to school up that way? I have seen a truck with a coues fanatic sticker in the window.
