anyone hunt this unit, my wife drew never been over there looking for some help to get started in the right direction..

which side of bone road is that, i should be able to give you som help, i know alot of people with private property on both sides, might be able to get you in the right direction , scott

South and west of the Bone Road. Lots of private, but people very willing to let you hunt if you ask. Look at the Forest service stuff first. Post your efforts and where you are looking. My boss has 1600 acres in there that might be open to you after cows are off in mid-Oct.

thanks for the help. never even been in the unit, getting maps this week, will do some scouting next month and probably during deer season.

you should do well anywhere on taylor mountain, closer to the old ski hill, millers own property below it,sometimes can go in there, you might talk to peggy bingham in wolverine canyon, usually have a few in there, also the top part of ceder creek and miner creek, you will hit some public land there, real good for moose in there, most ranchers will let you in, may have to leave atv at home though if you have one, hope this helps scott

Good luck getting on Millers land. My brother-in-law borders them and we thought we were in pretty good shape with them. I drew a bull permit in 2000 and Stan said I could hunt there...for a $500 trespass fee and if I shot one another $500. Ya right.

Ted Thompsons ground is now in the access yes program and you should have no problem shooting a cow moose on his place. There are also one or two other areas in the access yes program in the unit she drew in.
