ID unit 20 thoughts?

LAST EDITED ON Nov-04-11 AT 02:29PM (MST)[p]My mother still wants to fill her deer tag after an unsuccessful unit 43 hunt and I saw that unit 20 is open till Nov.18.

Any thoughts as to whether or not she stands a fair chance of shooting a deer from one of the roads on the western side of Boston Mountain? We will be road hunting for her.

I've never been in the area, any info is good info from where I stand. Thanks.

very little chance.

first of all it is snowing up here right now. That road might not stay open much longer.

it is solid timber out past the Boston Mt. turn off.

You would be better off trying the Macky Bar or Whitewater roads...

Even then low chance of success just road hunting.

Bring your chains and a good four-wheel drive, the roads up here are going to be snow covered. I agree with springbear in the "very little chance". This is another area that has been decimated by fish and game,long season and either sex hunt.
