Ibex and javalina

Has anyone seen javalina around the floridas while ibex hunting? I can't imagine that they would be up on the mountain with the Ibex, but maybe down in the foothills. I am helping a friend on his muzzleloader ibex hunt and I still have an unpunched javalina tag for the area.

We were putting a stalk on a group of goats,Only to spook a lone piggy that ended up spooking the Ibex.He was in a very rocky area and I was suprised to see him.

Was on the second archery ibex hunt and saw two or three groups of pigs on the west side. I had an archery pig tag as well but focused on ibex so i never really hunted them much. Went back this past weekend as my brother had a rifle pig tag and we couldn't find a pig. Lot's and lot's of sign, but with all the commotion from vehicles traveling roads for ibex...I think the pigs have either moved up the mountain or way out in the flats. We literally saw about 20-25 vehicles on the west side alone yesterday...and every road was being traveled. I did see pigs on the very top near the mahoney park road. Not sure I'd hike the mountain for a pig...but the area at the base had lot's of sign. Try there. Also while on the top around south peak and then again by gem peak, I saw two different groups of pigs on the very southern end of the floridas in the drainages. Hope that helps. good luck.

Thanks for the info. I never saw any javalina, but I didn't really look for them. We spent our time up high in the mountains and it was usually dark while we were down low.
