I traded for an elk set the other day...

a friend of mine found this set this spring in an area that i was going to hike through but he beat me to it :-(.

so, i ended up trading him all my trash bones from this year for the set

my friend was on his way to the horn buyer (see his pick-up in background? ) so my timing couldn't have been better...this set almost went to market!

there are alot of broken points on 'em, but i think it adds character.

that set came from one of my favorite areas, so i just couldn't let it go to market...maybe i'll find the antlers of the same bull next year. you can bet i'm going to try!
