Well fellas I finally took the plunge and bought a mathews. I tried an LX and thought that was the sh*t so to speak then I tried a Outback and was hooked on the smooth action.

I am looking forward to getting it set up and shooting many arrows through in preparation for the upcoming deer and elk season.

Nothing like making the off-season go by like shooting & tuning a new bow. Way to go and hope you enjoy your Mathews.

Great choice, I picked up the Outback last year and love it.

I used to be dead set against a short bow, in fact I used to shoot the 41" Conquest. I got the bug to get a new bow and started asking questions and the standard reply was "before you buy anything shoot an Outback". Well I did shoot almost every Bowtech, several Hoyts and had talked myself into a Bowtech Liberty. Luckily when I went to the local dealer to buy it I found a note on the door saying out of business. I drove down to another local bow shop to see if he could order a Bowtech and he said no. But he said I have a Mathews Outback set up, go ahead and shoot it. Well that was all it took for me, I bought it on the spot.

I find the Outback to be every bit as forgiving as the longer Conquest I used to shoot. It is in a completly different class when it comes to smoothness and hand shock.
