I Need the Facts-Help Now!!

I was going through some old Outdoor Life magazines my Dad had from the 70's and I came across a story of this guy who supposedly killed a couple of game wardens. I'm not really too sure what to think of it. It seems that there really was no way to determine whether his life was threatened and he was defending himself or if he was just a cold-blooded killer. I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find more facts about this case. I'd like to be able to make my own assumption on what happened but I don't have enough facts. Thanks.
