Just for fun!

I've always had a pick-up since I was old enough to drive. Don?t hold me to the model years but its close.

1. 1952 Chev. Short bed 216 straight 6. My dad gave it to me for my 16th birthday 1968.

2. 1964 Chev Short bed 283 V8. Bought it myself 1970, the year I graduated high school.

3. 1971 Chev short bed 4x4 Cheyenne. Bought that one in 1973 & couldn't afford the payments. Sold it after about 6 months. Sweet truck, had a 8 track player & everything.

4. 1966 Ford fleet side 2x4. Just married & it was all I could afford. Bought it in 1973. What a POS. Only truck that left me seriously stranded.

5. 1980 Chev LUV 4x4. 1st truck I ever bought new. Got my money?s worth out that little truck. I think I paid $8000.00 for it fresh off the transport.

6. 1986 Chev short bed fleet side 4x4. Bought that one in 1988. I think that one had my 1st 350 V8.

7. 1995 GMC Ext. Cab. Made myself a deal that I would trade every 5 years or 100K miles. ( It's about what I net from the farm every 5 years)

8. 2000 GMC Ext. cab. 1st one to have all the bells & whistles.

9. 2005 GMC Ext. cab. Heated seats? For crying out loud!

10. 2010 GMC Ext. cab. Nice ? real nice.

I've had a few cars along the ways too?. But they don't count. I sure like trucks & good leather gloves & good sun glasses & good binos & a good woman.

Dang! I'm one lucky SOB.

Not nearly as many as you , but a few.

'92 F150 reg cab, 302 w/ 5 speed. Good truck.

'94 Ranger, 4.0 v6 5 speed, this one really hauled butt back in the day, would do 80 up Parleys in 3rd gear.

(throw in a few years of cars here.......)

'91 F250 reg cab, 302 5 speed, I'm now married at this time and very poor lol, this truck got me into my current line of work

'99 F250 7.3 stroker, super cab. 6" lift, 37's, really fun, cool truck. Runs great with the programmer and exhaust, this truck got my business up and running

'05 F150 (current ride) Crew Cab, fits the family very well, much more refined truck, does everything I've asked it to do so far!

LAST EDITED ON Oct-04-10 AT 08:40PM (MST)[p]I like trucks. Have only owned two cars in the past 40 years.

1. 1964 3/4 ton Jeep pickup.
2. 1979 Toyota 4X4. Paid $6700 for it in 1979. Little sob ran good, but I had a heckuva time getting more than 16mpg out of it. It was a truck of 'firsts' for me.
3. 1983 F250 3/4 ton diesel. The sissiest starter I have ever seen. Huge, but, wouldn't hold up at all.
4. 1986 Toyota 4X4. Got about 25mpg out of this one.
5. 1993 F150 with an automatic.
6. 1997 F250 Powerstroke
7. 1999 F350 Powerstroke
8. 2002 F350 Powerstroke

9. 1955 Dodge Power Wagon. It has a balanced and blueprinted 350, 4 speed with g-r-a-n-n-y low, 5.83 gears and won't go above 45mph unless I put it on a trailer. Dang, I love that truck.

Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?

The truck I have now is the only truck I have ever paid to relicense.. Never kept any long enough to have to..

1. 1992 chev 3/4 ton 2wd with a 350. Sold it because I had to have a 4x4.

2. 1988 GMC 1/2 ton shorty with a 350. Got kicked out of seminary so my dad took the truck away.

3. 1994 chev 3/4 standard cab long bed. I spent my money to fix this truck up, wheels, tint, exhaust, a few motor upgrades. sold it to my brother and he traded my dad for the 88 after my dad repainted in and fixed it up. My dad took all my stuff off and traded it away for misc farm stuff and uses it for his hunting/farm truck.

4. 2001 gmc shorty. 5.3 v8. Quick!! Chick magnet after I dumped a little money into it! Hell it got me my wife!

5. 00 chev extended cab shortbed with a 6 inch lift. 5.3 v8. I did a few more things to this truck and it was by far my best looking truck to date. but it also had my biggest payment, first truck from a dealership.

6. with a baby on the way #5 had to go. 04 gmc 5.3 v8 great truck just more practical with the baby. had to sell after bills started catching up with me.

went a year without a truck for money issues just driving the 94 when I NEEDED a truck.

7. had a little extra cash but not willing to buy a newer truck I bought a 85 gmc with a 400sb. 6 inch lift. very nice truck but still needed a little work. Had a guy drive by and offer me 2.5 times what I paid for it so it went down the road...

8. 07 chev half ton extended cab 5.3 v8 and loved this truck. it was completely stock but again a baby came so we needed a crew cab..

9. traded the 07 in on a 05 duramax with a 6 inch lift and a bunch of other extras. biggest extra being the dvd players in the headrests for the kids. They love it and its the truck of my dreams! I love the body style, the power, well everything about the truck! Dont plan on getting rid of it any time soon and its the truck I have held on to the longest.

I'm 24 btw..

1. 1961 Chevy. I owned it for about 10 years. Never changed oil, not one time. I put in a quart every 100 miles or so. Several times I had the bed filled to the top with fish. I parked it out on the street and twice the deputy sheriff tagged it! I bought it for $200 and sold it for $200!

2. 1975 Jeep. Worst perchase I ever made. About half the miles on it were being towed. Even the color was lemon yellow.

3. 1971 Nissan. My neighbor used to call my wife and complain about my profanity when I was working on it. I worked on it a lot.

4. 1989 Tacoma. Best truck I ever owned. A deer magnet.

5. 2003 Tacoma. Good truck, kinda under powered though.

1985 Dodge half ton short box. Ugly as an ingrown butt hair and slow but tough as nails and would climb anything in granny.

1995 Ford F250 Stroker. I may have it for awhile longer. Just barely turned 90k on it. Waxed it up for its once a year bath just the other day. Looks pretty good considering it has never been garaged in 15 years.

This is a fun post , and makes me think about all the trucks I have owned . Mostly a Ford man , and I love my 2002 , Ford , F350 with the 7.3 . I also have a weakness for the old iron and love those old Ford Highboys . Copy the entire photo address (in BOLD) below and

I'll bite on this one.

Learned to drive in a '60 dodge with positraction rear end and first was a granny gear. To you and up was granny and over and down was reverse.

Bought a Chevy LUV from a glass shop that kept breaking down on them. (Can't remember the year, but close to when they came out) Drained the oil, and let her run till the engine died. Dropped a V6 and auto trany from a Buick Skyhawk into it. Had the front half of the Skyhawk's drive shaft attached to the back half to the LUV drive shaft and rebalanced. Welded new motor mounts, added two rows to the radiator and an electric fuel pump. Ran like a rabbit.

Traded the LUV for a 77 Chevy 1/2 ton in 78.

Sold the 77 Chevy to my brother-in-law.

Bought an 85 Toyots 4X4 (New)

Traded the 85 Toyota for an 88 Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 (POS) Could not keep front break rotors on it.

Traded the 88 Chevy for a 95 Toyota 4x4 (New)

Brother-in-law gave me back the 77 Chevy, but it needed a new tranny. Found a rebuilt for $900 and I installed it. Eventually sold it to my father-in-law for the cost of the tranny. He sold it to a landscaping crew for $1,500.

Traded the 95 Toyots for my current '03 Chevy 2500HD 4X4 6.0 V8. Love that truck, but 12MPG sucks. Towing gets maybe 10 MPG on the highway light load 14 1/2 or so. Fun to drive, but expensive. Only modification is I had a gooseneck hitch installed.

Be a while before I trade it in. I had fun with the LUV, but I'd never do that again.

My first truck was a 1971 Chevy Blazer that I bought when I was 15. It was missing an engine so I replaced it with a 420 hp 454. The truck hit the road for the first time a couple months after my 16th B-Day. The engine turned out to be too much for that poor old 1/2 ton running gear. Over the years everything that broke was upgraded until I ended up with 1 ton Diffs and a TH 400 Trans. That truck served me well for many years and is in the long process of being restored. The new engine will be the Duramax Diesel and Allison Trans.

#2 was a 1984 1 ton 4x4 single rear wheel Chevy that I put over 380,000 miles on.

#3 was my first brand new truck. A 1999 1/2 ton Chevy extended cab 4x4.

#4 was my first Diesel. A 2003 GMC 2500 HD 4X4. What a great truck that also doubled as a work vehicle. Other than injectors replaced under warranty at 80,000 miles the truck never had any issues until traded in with 205,000 miles.

#5 Is the 2009 version of the same truck as above.

1993 Toyota- Great truck, first new truck purchase. Got married and sold it.

1987 GMC 3/4 Ton- Got it from my dad in 99. Other than a clutch, never had any problems. Great Truck.

2000 Ford F-150 1/2 ton. Bought it in 2001. Decent truck, terrible gas mileage.

2005 3/4 Dodge Diesel. Bought it new. Great motor, plenty of pulling power. Body was built like a tin can. I remember the first time I drove it down a dirt road. Could figure out the weird noise. Then it dawned on me it was gravel hitting the undercarriage lol... Decided to sell it in order to start a business.

2000 F-350 Diesel Longbed. Terrible in the hills but a great running, solid truck. I have had it for about 3 years. Had a few repairs to make but well worth it for pulling. I don't think I will be selling or trading it in anytime soon.

I have always been a tacoma kind of guy because they are small enough to get into a lot more hunting spots of mine then a full size. Plus, they have always gotten pretty decent gas mileage. I have had three. The first was a silver 95, the second was a black 01 (I wish I would have never sold this one) and the current one is a black 07. The newer models have a lot more room but my 01 was sure a one of a kind truck to me. Heres some pics.
